This is why you're fat

While I was going through the Blogosphere the other day, I came across a food blog called "FOODBEAST" maybe I am madd late on this but it's essentially a "food" equivalent of Hypebeast.

Food is the one topic we all understand. Whether it’s fast food, gourmet restaurants or eating at home, here at Foodbeast, those genre barriers are non existent. We are a small family of editors dedicated to providing the most comprehensive and up-to-date food experience on the web, devoid of any formal culinary education. Instead, we simply deliver everything that’s happening with the food you love to eat!

Stay hungry everyone!

BONUS

One of the most frequent contributors to FOODBEAST is a site called "This is why you're fat" which encourages its online readers to post pictures of a particular "grossly good" food item.

For example

From FOODBEAST:

Bacon Poutine

Egg n’ Ham Sammich

(A regular ham and cheese sandwich but topped with 11 sunny-side up egg yolks.)

Big Mac-Chicken With Cheese

(A McDonald’s Big Mac with cheese, but with fried McChicken patties instead of buns.)

for many more hit up "FOODBEAST" or "This is why you're fat"

Some next level music video

Well in terms of cameos, but Hype did it again.

The official video for Jamie Foxx's hit single "Blame It" featuring T-Pain, from his third studio album Intuition in stores now.

Cameos from Ron Howard, Quincy Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Forest Whitaker, Jake Gyllenhaal, Cedric The Entertainer, Morris Chestnut, Clifton Powell, Alex Thomas, Tatyana Ali, Bill Bellamy, and more.

Directed by Hype Williams.

It's like Jamie Foxx told Hype to film a movie for him or some shit

So Far Gone Mixtape Release Party

Behind the scene/delay of So Far Gone

Peep Mistah F.A.B. at the end saying that So Far Gone "Is the biggest thing since Pokemon"

Still awake and waiting so I'll keep posting

Dope drop by Lil' Cease, this is probably better than Jada's version but I think it has more to do with this video compare to Jada's version.

Found this interesting read while browsing round the "Blogosphere"

A wonderful Message by George Carlin

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints.

We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much , and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be a round forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comesfrom deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

It's kind of a shame not many people recognize Static Major for his work until "Lollipop" with Wayne. But all the best to him (R.I.P.) because homey went out on top. Anyways here's one of my favourites from Stat, "Crank It Up" with David Banner.

You used to be alright...What happened?

How come I end up where I started
How come I end up where I belong
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out then you cut the string

How come I end up where I started
How come I end up where I belong
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out then you cut the string

You used to be alright
What happened?
Did the cat get your tongue
Did your string come undone
One by one
One by one
It comes to us all
It's as soft as your pillow

You used to be alright
What happened?
Etcetera etcetera
Facts for whatever
Fifteen steps
Then a shear drop

The Big Bang Theory

Saturn 3 or Star Trek: Deep Space 9? That is the question that Sheldon and Raj must answer. Both want to watch the respective shows, and using Leonard's suggestion of Babylon 5 as a compromise just won't work. Raj suggests the old standby of rock-paper-scissors, but Sheldon declines. Explaining that people who know each other will tie 75-80% of the time, he suggests Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock. (Which we'll call RPSLS so I don't make my carpal tunnel worse.) The rules:

1. Scissors cuts Paper

2. Paper covers Rock

3. Rock crushes Lizard

4. Lizard poisons Spock

5. Spock smashes Scissors

6. Scissors decapitates Lizard

7. Lizard eats Paper

8. Paper disproves Spock

9. Spock vaporizes Rock

10. Rock crushes Scissors

Alright performance, kudos to M.I.A. for being part of this and the entrance was just dope as a mother

Super Bowl hang over

What more can I say?!? "SixBurgh!!!" "Blitzburgh!!!" Whatever you want to call them, they are forreal, two Lombardi's in 3 years...yeah they are forreal.

It was arguably one of the best Super Bowl this decade...well aside from Super Bowl XXXVIII where Tom Brady and Jake Delhomme went off with a ridiculous 34 combine points in the 4th quarter. But I guess Super Bowl XLIII was good enough to make people forget about that.

What made this game was it's unusual calmness and the amount of big plays that is not for the faint of heart. In what seemed to be a rather uneventful 2 weeks leading up to the big game, unlike recent history no one verbally attacked no one. It was awkwardly professional to say the least.

The game itself was another story on it's own. Steelers' came out with a "huge" 9 play 71 yard drive to put 3 points on the scoreboard to open the game. It was an back and forth first half that saw the Steelers dominate the ball early and then it was the Cardinals' turn as they controlled the ball in the second. Then DC Dick Labeau outsmarted Kurt Warner by calling a timed blitz that led to the now over played-yet still rediculous 100 yard pick six by James Harrison. Unlike last year's three quarter defensive standoff between the Patriots and Giants...we were scoring points. Then shit happened when Cardinal seemed to have flipped the script and pulled ahead 23-20 with 2:37 left. I dropped to my knees in disbelief and my mind was like "Holy FUCK" this ain't right. After a short kick return to our 22, I remembered. I remembered the Week 4, 11, 14 and 15. What do they have in common? All are won in on the final drive. So with roughly a little over 2 minutes to go and 78 yard to go, I knew we can do this. Sure enough 2:02 minutes later Big Ben found Santonio for the fourth time on the drive in the corner of the end zone fully extended displaying a perfect toe tap, catch...touchdown. That was simply amazing on many levels; 1) Santonio was wide open on a timed fade route on the opposite corner but let it slip right through his hands. 2) For the entire game Santonio simply carried this team the entire night with Hines Ward not completely 100% and anybody who's watched Santonio's three year with the Steelers know that Santonio is "not that guy" and to see him dominate that night was mind blowing. 3) On the final play Santonio was Ben's third read after Mewelde Moore and Hines Ward but with everybody covered Ben heldon for as long as he could before seeing Santonio in the corner. 4) It was over 3 Cardinals defenders.

Simply amazing. To me it was even an greater feeling than winning Super Bowl XL because that game was to say the least "sloppy". Compared to this "doozy" of a fourth quarter capped of by the career defining final drive by Big Ben. Simply amazing

No curse, no curse

Growing up I've always been a sports junkie, my main focuses has always been basketball and football. I love My Kings and Steelers. With both teams riding high early in the new millenium. Eight straight playoff appearances for the Sacramento Kings highlighted by the heartbreaking Game 7 breakdown in the Western Conference Finals to the Lakers in 2002. As for the Steelers, getting to the AFC Championship game was never the issue but as far as winning them, that's a whole different story.

My last glimpse hope came in the 2003-04 season for both the Kings and Steelers. In a season that saw the Steelers become the first AFC team to win 15 games and with their new hot shot rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger it seem like the sky was the limit for this team. That was until they bowed out to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. The same thing applied to my beloved Kings as they carried on much of the season without Chris Webber and finished with a astonding 55-27 record only to lose in another seven game nail biter to the Minnesota Timberwolves. To sum it all up, I was crushed, I felt like I am cursed, that whatever team I root for will never win the big one.

The following season the Kings traded away Chris Webber and their window for success was closing fast. As for the Steelers' they started out fast by opening the season 7-2, before injuries to Big Ben led to three straight losts and on the brink of missing the playoffs. If I wasn't fully convinced I was cursed, I am 90% convinced now.

Then something happened, they got like Kobe Bryant hot (no homo) the Steelers won their last four regular season games in convincing fashion, just enough to get into the playoffs as the six seed. But any football fan knows that no six seed has ever reached the Super Bowl so their chances were as good as me hooking up with let's say Halle Barry.

Then something even more amazing happend, in the Wildcard game, Bengals quarterback Carson Parmer got hurt on the first play of the game...Steeler victory. In the Divisional round against the Colts' when we seemed to have the game sealed until a late game fumble at the goal line by Jerome Bettis. Giving Peyton and the Colts' one last chance to win the game, that was until their "big mouth yet mad efficient" kicker Mike Vanderjagt missed an easy 46 yard field goal. Then in the Conference championship game against the new and improved Jake Plummer led Denver Broncos, then somehow the Steelers' "D" seem to have turned the clock back on Jake "The Snake" and cruised to a 34-17 win. Super Bowl XL here we come.

February 5th, 2006, I was overcome with joy that one of the teams I have rooted for is part of the "big" game and was 60 minutes away from possibly winning Super Bowl XL...maybe I do have a shot with Halle Barry after all.

Well we all know what happened in that game, aside from the story about how Jerome Bettis finally gets a Super Bowl and to win it back in his home town, it was a relatively uneventful game but Steelers won. STEELERS WON! I almost wanted to do the Steve Young "get this monkey off my back" thing. It was arguably one of the single most greatest feeling in my life. I still get goosebumps thinking about that night.

Guess I am not really cursed afterall.
